🌿 June Musings | Studio Edition

June 2025

Hey Reader,

The world is full of noise, but here we make space for quiet, beautiful things.

This letter is a gentle invitation: to notice, to create, to come home to yourself again.

✨ Reflection

This month, I found myself needing to slow down and re-center. As someone who encourages others to pause, reflect, and restore through creative practice, I often need a strong dose of my own medicine.

I might appear as a strong, smooth river, but beneath the surface, I often feel turbulent, rushed, crowded.

Perhaps, like me, you've experienced this too.

Days can feel hectic, and by sundown, you struggle to name what you did, though you've never felt more exhausted. I understand that feeling all too well.

This month's prompts will focus on these shared feelings.

The feeling of the world spinning too fast, and our desperate need to just catch our breath. We're in this together.

These gentle questions are what help me pause, re-center, and remember what matters.
I pray that these prompts will help guide you to find a moment of peace and clarity.

And if one of them opens something up for you, I’d love to hear. Just hit reply, I always welcome your words.

🖋️ A Prompt for You

What parts of life feel like they’re moving too quickly right now? What’s one little thing I can slow down today?

Pro Journaling Tip: Write your prompt out before you begin, using the personal "I", "me", "my", "mine". Make this tiny change in your journaling process to help your brain focus on the purpose of the prompt and set your thoughts inward. This increased focus will foster deeper, more meaningful reflections.

🎨 Try This Creative Moment

If the feeling of “too much” had a shape or a color, what would it look like on the page?

Try sketching or painting that feeling without needing it to be pretty or polished. Let your hand move faster or slower. When you’re done, take a deep breath. What do you notice?

Pro Art Journaling Tip: If you're short on time or supplies, don't worry! You can use whatever you have on hand. A Sharpie, crayon, or even just a pen will work. The back of an envelope or a Post-it note is all you need to get started today.

🖼️ In the Studio

While working on several significant heartfelt projects, I've turned to small creations to help me relax. I practice what I preach ;) Creating tiny items always brings me a sense of calm, and having a collection of them at the end of the week is incredibly satisfying.

💌 Just for You

I’ve just opened my Instagram and Facebook pages! I’ll share regular encouragements, art in process, and more journaling prompts if you'd like to follow along.

🌸 Closing Thought

I have beautiful art prints, an amazing blog, and a range of digital products in development. I will be sharing several free ones with you! They will cover art journaling, devotional e-books, reflective journaling workbooks, and planner templates.

What kind of content would you find most beneficial or inspiring from me in the coming months?

More prompts? Quiet encouragement? Studio glimpses? Something else entirely?

This space is for you, and your voice matters here. Have a question? Just hit reply and let me know.

Warmly, Tara Rochelle
